The New Moon is joining Jupiter now.  Check them out in the western sky right after sunset….can’t miss them.  They were closer yesterday for the Super Bowl.  Jupiter enjoys doing things big, like parties.  The Moon is family, home and food.  So all the parties and food we usually don’t eat were just right for a big Jupiter.  The Moon is also associated with emotions, so don’t feel bad if you are a little thrown off emotionally.   Today the Moon is opposite Saturn, which is back to reality and work.  The party is over.   Word of the day…..Refocus.

The next transit we have is the approaching Venus to Pluto.  So interesting with the recent articles about  ’Revisiting the status of Pluto’,  When Pluto was demoted to a planetoid, it was square the nodal axis.  I saw that as the karmic time for Pluto.  Now that Pluto is conjunct both Venus and the North Node, they made it a planet again?  North Node is destiny and Venus is of course a blessing.  So we can watch the transits of Pluto to see how science is defining it as a planet or not.  Astrology works for the planets themselves, too!

Friday, February 4th, 2011 Beginners

Notice how almost all the planets are in one part of the chart today.  There are 6 houses empty now.  The empty spots are places that are calm so we can focus on the grouping of planets.  This is a very powerful alignment in the sky now.  I’m not at all surprised that freedom is erupting in Egypt and many other countries now.  Yesterday’s word of the day was Freedom.  I was looking at the chart and not thinking of the demonstrations, but it was a perfect word.  The Moon has moved into Pisces for the next couple of days.  Pisces is about emotions and sensitivity.  Word of the day…..Dreams.

There is power and change everywhere in the chart now.  Starting at the top with an amazing Venus, North Node and Pluto conjunction.  That is about owning our power in the world.  The Aquarius planets want change and freedom.  The Jupiter Uranus conjunction is breaking free from the old Pisces sludge into fast and furious Aries.  The trine from Saturn to the Sun and Mars will ensure change.  Neptune trine South Node will hopefully bring these changes about with a new consciousness.  Exciting times?  Wild times!  Word of the day…. Radical.

Astrology is all about geometry and today’s chart has quite a pattern.  Look how the planets are all clustered together in different groups.  The biggest is that bunch of planets in Aquarius in the 11th house.  It’s the New Moon in Aquarius in addition to all the other planets there too.  Watch for the new sliver Moon in the western sky soon.  I call the sign of Aquarius the rebel.  Look at all the rebellion happening in the world right now.  Egypt, Tunisia and the Middle East are erupting with democratic rebellion.  Notice that Mars is exactly the same degree as the Sun now. It’s a time of dramatic events and strong will power.   Bottom line, Aquarians want their freedom.  So anyone who is feeling suppressed will be reacting now.  It’s not just over there, but in your heart too.  Do you need to break free?  Word of the day….Freedom.

What a New Moon we have now! There is a stellium in Aquarius today with the Moon triggering it all off.  Mars and the Sun will be conjunct from now until Feb 20 or so, depending on what orb you use.  Of course, Jupiter just at 2 degrees Aries is part of this domino effect rebellion we are seeing in northern Africa.  I plan to write an article on Jupiter in Aries addressing the current volatile politics.   Just wait until Uranus enters Aries on March 13.  So interesting that the Mars Sun conjunction is approaching that strong trine to Saturn.  This a very determined and focused rebellion.  Go with this chart and free yourself on your own level.  Try doing something new and exciting.

Happy New Moon in Aquarius!  How cool that both the Moon and Sun are trine Saturn now.  So the new beginnings you are implementing will take hold because of solid Saturn.  The other thing to look forward to is Venus joining the North Node and Pluto in the next few days.   Realizing our power.  Venus is also square to Uranus today exactly.  That adds to all the Aquarian energy we have now.  What are you releasing now?  Who are you letting go of now?  I know it’s tough to make changes at times.  But now the changes will come as a feeling of relief.  You know you have made the right decision when you have a wave of relief that goes over your body and psyche.  Feel that wave….

Here is my big news for everyone!   ABC TV called me and offered me a monthly Astrology Show!  I have to thank the confusion about the supposed 13th sign, Ophiuchus for this one.  On my first show, I’ll be clearing up the misunderstandings about that.  Then I’ll be doing a Valentine’s Day show on romancing the signs.  My first monthly show will be February 18 for Pisces.  So everyone watch for SUN SIGNS with SUSIE.  I’ll be putting videos of it on my website and Youtube.  Now that my book is out, the timing couldn’t be better!  I’ll keep everyone posted here!!  This is part of the Full Speed Ahead I wrote about.  Make sure you read that article and see how you can use all this exciting Aries energy!

Beginners

Did everyone see the beautiful Moon and Venus this morning?  If not, you can still see them tomorrow morning.  Wake up just before sunrise and look to the eastern sky.  You can’t miss them!  Check out the chart of the day in the 9th house and you can see Venus and the Moon together.  Even though other symbols are harder to recognize, these 2 planets everyone knows.  The Moon is a cute little moon symbol.  Venus is the female glyph.  The yellow circle means they are holding hands with each other in the sky.  Be with friends and family today.  Word of the day…..Social.

If you have a clear sky with no clouds, get up early to see Venus and the Moon. They will be in the predawn eastern sky. They are one of the best combination of celestial bodies in the heavens. Venus is so bright and beautiful that it’s easy to see why it’s the planet of beauty and love. They are both in the sign of Scorpio which usually brings a feeling of intensity. Scorpio is also the sign of high finance, so the last couple of days of the year is a great time to regroup your money. With a positive angle to Jupiter, the planet of abundance, it’s a good money day. Word of the day….Investments.

Mars has just past the square to Saturn, but now the Sun is heading into that square in the next few days. So we’re not done with the Capricorn vibe yet. Saturn in the Hermit and with all these blizzards happening, many people are holding up somewhere to keep warm. Saturn likes to hibernate. Even in warm, sunny Tucson it’s cold. It’s snowing in the surrounding mountains and might even snow in Tucson tonight. Make some chicken soup or a stew and stay inside if you can.
